This amendment argues that money should not buy political outcomes. So it matters a great deal how this effort is funded, and we hold ourselves to the rule we are asking for.
Our rules for our own money
Every donor is named publicly. No anonymous gifts, no intermediaries, no pass-through entities. If you give, your name appears on the supporters list with the amount.
We take no money from any corporation, trade association, or other artificial entity — only from individual human beings. That is the rule we are asking the country to adopt, and we are not going to ask for it while doing otherwise.
Every dollar received and every dollar spent is published. You can see exactly what your money paid for.
What the money does
Constitutional counsel
This text was drafted by a citizen, not a lawyer. It needs review by a constitutional attorney before it goes in front of a legislature. That is the single most important expense and the first one funded.
Local resolutions
The path to ratification runs through city councils and county boards before it reaches Congress. Getting a resolution on an agenda takes printed materials, filing, travel, and the time to show up at meeting after meeting.
Printing and organizing
Petitions, one-page summaries, and the physical materials people can carry into a room. Paper still works.
Nothing else
No advertising. No consultants. No salaries paid from donations at this stage.
How to give
Card covers Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App Pay as well. Checks may be made to 11 11 Global, Inc., Seaside, California — write for the mailing address. Zelle, wire, and anything else, just ask.
What this is, for tax purposes
11 11 Global, Inc. is a California corporation. Contributions to this effort are not tax deductible. We would rather tell you that plainly than have you find out in April.
A separate nonprofit structure is being organized for the educational and advocacy work. When it exists and is recognized, we will say so here and we will say exactly what changed.
If you would rather give something other than money
Sign the petition and put your name to it. Bring the amendment to your city council. Send it to someone who holds office. Tell us where the text is wrong. All of that is worth more than a small check, and none of it costs anything.
