Signing means one thing: you support changing the rules for everyone at the same time. You are not being asked to go first, to leave a party, or to agree with everything anyone involved believes.

What happens to your name
If you say we may publish it, your name and city appear on the public supporters list. That is the entire point — this amendment holds that political support should be attributable to a named human being, and a petition full of anonymous names would contradict the document it supports.
If you say no, your signature is counted and your name is not published.
Your email is used to tell you what happens next. It is not sold, rented, traded, or given to anyone. Not to a party, not to a campaign, not to another organization. If you want off the list, say so once and you are off it.
After you sign
The signature matters. What happens next matters more. The path to ratification runs through city councils and state legislatures long before it reaches Congress, and that part cannot be done from a keyboard.
